DEPOT
A Devotional from the Book of Proverbs.
Plans and purposes
Are your’s God’s
Many are the plans in a man's heart,
but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails.
Proverbs 19:21
Have you ever thought about the progression of ideas; from a dream to plans on to reality?
I love posters that I often see hanging in public places that inspire.
Just the other day I saw one in restaurant’s men’s room:
It was a beautiful scenic picture with the caption that read,
“LEADERSHIP: The ability to turn dreams into reality.
Solomon, the author of Proverbs, was such a man.
He knew how to turn his father’s dream of building a
permanent place of worship to Jehovah God; the temple.
His dream consumed him and became his passion and purpose in life.
He was imminently successful because his passion was God’s purpose.
The link between dreams and reality is planning.
Now for the rub: The road to success is marked with the casualties.
People fail a several key points in the prosperity process.
The first fatalities often occur in the failure to move from a dream to a plan.
Is may be a tired say, but it is true, “Failure to plan is planning to fail.”
If you are too fearful or lazy to develop a plan to turn your dreams into
reality you are an automatic failure. You are a day dreamer.
The second point of failure is a failure to follow the plan.
The ultimate reason that plans fail to materialize is that
the plan never coincided with the purpose of God.
Solomon was super successful because his plan was
to make God’s purpose a reality on earth.
Are you frustrated with a history of dead dreams, and failed plans?
Perhaps the key to a turn abound of your fortunes is to go back to
your prayer closet and ask God what his purpose is for your life.

From
now on it will be my personal goal to daily post a “gem” of proverbial wisdom
